Just a quick post from me. I will be at Village Art Workshop this Sunday, August 29th from 10 am to 2 pm for their Back to School Party. I will be having free mini sessions for anyone who attends. You will get 15 minutes of my time. I will shoot each person in various locations around the Village Art Workshop. Prints and/or digital files may be purchased separately after your session. I just got back from an incredibly inspirational photography workshop. 3 Days with the amazing Australian photographer, Barb Uil, of JinkyArt. I feel excited and inspired and ready for the busy fall season. This sweet little girl was such a doll. She was a bit nervous at first but eventually had fun playing with her little birdie. Hudson – High School Senior Session

I just had an incredible high school senior session last night. Kendyll is a senior at Hudson High School. She was such a trooper braving the staggering heat last night for her session. We took lots of water and “dabbing” breaks. Her super fun Aunts accompanied her on the shoot and were such a big help. I had a great time last night Amy and Julie….thanks for everything! Well, I am back this week with an amazing senior from Acton Boxborough High School. She was so sweet and as you can see, completely gorgeous. We shot around some of my favorite locations in Concord. Luckily, the rain held off and we got beautiful summer evening lighting. We’re now in senior season and my sessions are filling up fast. We had a really nice 4th of July. Friends came over and we had a low key cookout. The kids played so nicely together. Complete with baseball, our own parade, and lots of food! I even made my first pie. Thanks for the delicious cake, Sash. Hope your 4th was just as wonderful!

Cape Cod – Acton Family Photographer

We just got back from a great vacation on the Cape. Even though we live so close, we hadn’t ever really taken the kids to the beach. We always vacation with family in Baltimore or on a lake in Vermont. We all had a great time and had fantastic weather every day. The house we rented was just a few steps to the beach….perfect location. I ate a ton of clam chowder and lobster and drank lots of cold beer (hello heartburn!). It was a much needed break and we’ll definitely do it again next year.

I love shooting on summer evenings. Warm nights surrounded by a beautiful sunset glow. It doesn’t hurt to have such gorgeous children in front of my camera, huh? I was so lucky to shoot K & N last week. We had rescheduled our shoot several times due to rain but we finally got a beautiful night and went for it. I had a hard time choosing which photos to blog. Thanks Shelley for hanging in there and waiting for the perfect night.
