Happy Birthday Baby L | Boston Cake Smash Photographer

Continuing our series of recent first birthday / cake smash sessions, Baby L came to visit me in the studio yesterday.  We photographed his newborn session a year ago to the day and it was amazing to see how much he has grown since then.  His parents had selected an airplane theme and once again, Karen from Babycakes and Confections created an amazing cake for the session.  I love the ombre icing and the adorable airplane on the cake.  Baby L was quite shy throughout the session but with a little patience and a lot of encouragement, we were able to capture his sweet smile and personality.

Baby E visited our studio this morning.  She was so sweet and outgoing and was so fun to play with.  Her mom had selected The Very Hungry Caterpillar as her birthday theme.  Of course Babycakes and Confections created another stellar cake.  The caterpillar design is spot on!  First we photographed baby E in a couple special outfits and then onto the cake.  As you can see, she really loved the yummy sweet cake!  Happy 1st Birthday Baby E!

Baby J visited my studio yesterday for his 1st birthday cake smash.  He was quite shy at first and didn’t seem thrilled about this woman pointing a large black camera at him.  But we took our time and let him warm up and eventually he left his mother’s lap and played with us.  His brother and sister were so helpful in making him feel comfortable and playful during the session.  He was really excited to eat his incredible airplane birthday cake created by Babycakes and Confections.  Karen at Babycakes really outdid herself on this one.  All the details were amazing.  I loved the pilot but I think the buttercream clouds were Baby J’s favorite.

Today we had baby L in the studio celebrating his 1st birthday.  His mom picked a monster theme for his cake smash session to coordinate with his birthday party.  She even came with this awesome custom t-shirt that fit the theme and colors perfectly!  The gorgeous cake was provided by Babycakes and Confections.  Happy 1st Birthday Baby L!

After a nice long and relaxing holiday with family and friends, I am back in the studio photographing 2013 clients.  Sweet Baby A is my first baby of the New Year.  She was so little and precious and after a nice long feed, she fell right to sleep and stayed that way for almost her entire session.  I was so happy when she gave us several smiles which we were able to capture in the images below.
